Maybe I generally feel more Slay than Mommy. Not that I'm knocking Mommy.
So, yes, I was here. I'm not sure why I haven't blogged about being in India yet, except for the same reason I haven't written about anything much lately -- there is drama in my life, it makes me tired and crabby, and I tend to find that blogging in general takes up more energy than it should, and energy that I don't have.
Run on sentence, I embrace you.
I am fairly impressed with the quality of the photos I took in India. I anticipated they'd be good because of the light quality in the desert, but I'm still pretty happy. Especially considering all we had was a cheap little point and shoot I got the Boy for his research.
So India reflections are still on deck. The Boy and the Boo are still in the far away land with a month to go before they get back. Having gone and returned makes me miss them more acutely; before, it was an easy matter to compartmentalize missing them, because there was just so much time in which to miss them. And now that they're almost home, I feel like they can't get here fast enough.

I like taking them down Lincoln Drive, because I just love that stretch of road. The trees, the river, the old homes -- I've always found it incredibly romantic. Guests often get a visit to the art museum and a look at Kelly Drive at night, and since they're often my friends, they usually want to see the famous South Street.
I almost never take anyone to do any of the historical touristy stuff, but that's not intentional. It just never seems to happen.
